DDII organized a series of workshops for members of the Kimberley Process Working Group on Artisanal and Alluvial Production (KP WGAAP). Fourteen out of the fifteen current member countries were present, as well as six guest observers. The WGAAP aims to promote more effective internal controls on the production and trade of alluvial diamonds. Over 10 million diamantaires, miners and diggers, including their families, are precisely in this sector of the diamond industry.

Hi,

Organizations are always looking for new and innovative fundraising initiatives. In recent years, some individuals have donated their Aeroplan Miles to worthy causes. This allows organizations to organize more workshops and meetings, which can result in greater impact in the communities where they work. This might be a good option for DDII.

What are your thoughts? I challenge others to add to this discussion.

Thanks!

Hi,

I recently came across an entry online in which someone was taking part in a marathon and listed your organization as the nonprofit that would benefit from the funds the raised through this endeavor. This got me thinking about what else to do in order to benefit a cause, even if one can't make a monetary contribs. Has anyone got any innovative ideas about what/which activities to undertake, in order to benefit DDI...I mean, beyond the standard...

Thanks!
